In Black and White

My life at the current moment consists of two main themes: Reading and Writing.  There is rarely a portion of my day that does not require me to be doing one of the two and even when I am not reading or writing I am envisioning whatever it is I am doing as a print concept.  It’s ironic that constantly staring at Black and White pages could give one’s life such Vivid Color.

Before I die...

I am completely infatuated with this Art Installation.  Urban Art and Graffiti are two of my favorite mediums for expression and this one just so happens to be in New Orleans.  It is displayed on the side of an abandoned home; neighborhood residents write what they hope to accomplish before they die.  The New Year is the perfect time to execute Dreams and Wishes.  I have yet to decide exactly what it is that I want from 2012 but I do know that so far I am in love with the Year’s energy.

Champagne Supernova

It seems like every year New Years Eve approaches and I have no plans. Without fail the morning of Decmeber 31st someone mentions a plan or a party and me and the girls go running through the mall and boutiques desperately trying to find the perfect outfit, the right lashes, better shoes, a little sparkle, and flashier make-up. One thing you can always count on is that no matter how hard I try not to I will always end up in a Little Black Dress; and somehow sans plan I always pop champagne and dance until my feet beg me to stop (and then a couple hours more after I’ve kicked them to the side). This year proved to be no different; December 30 I was sans plans but equipped with optimism and purple nails.
What was supposed to be a low key evening spent with my best friend quickly turned into an eventful and pretty perfect New Year’s Eve.
